When you create an account or connect your WhatsApp Business account, we may collect your name, email address, business name, business phone number, login credentials, WhatsApp Business account metadata, and message content or metadata only when needed to provide the Service and only with your authorization.
Usage and Technical Information
We collect IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, features used, pages visited, timestamps, session data, and crash reports.
Payment and Billing Information
If you subscribe to the Service, we collect billing name, billing address, payment method details, and transaction records.
Message Content and Snippets
If you upload or save message content, draft replies, or snippets, we may process message text, attachments, timestamps, and metadata needed for classification or triage.

WHATSAPP API COMPLIANCE
For WhatsApp end-user messages and metadata, the Customer is the Data Controller and Rio acts as a Data Processor. Data is processed only to provide the Service. We do not use WhatsApp message content or metadata for advertising or unrelated analytics. We do not share WhatsApp end-user data with third parties. Message content is encrypted in transit and at rest. Upon Customer request or account termination, Rio deletes message content unless retention is legally required.
SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We do not share personal data with third parties except when required by law, in connection with a user-requested integration, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Rio does not use external sub-processors.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
If personal data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
DATA RETENTION
We retain personal data as long as needed to provide the Service. After account termination, we delete or anonymize data unless retention is required for compliance or dispute resolution.
CHILDREN’S DATA
Rio is intended for business use and not for individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we delete it promptly.
SECURITY MEASURES

ROLES OF THE PARTIES
For WhatsApp end-user data, the Customer is the Data Controller and Rio is the Data Processor. For data Rio collects to operate the Service, Rio may act as a Data Controller.
PROCESSING ON INSTRUCTIONS
Rio processes personal data only according to the Customer’s instructions unless required by law.
SECURITY
Rio implements appropriate technical and organizational measures suitable to the risk.
DATA SUBJECT REQUESTS
Rio assists the Customer with Data Subject requests where legally required.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
For transfers from the EEA or UK, the parties rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.
DELETION AND RETURN OF DATA
Upon termination or at Customer request, Rio deletes or anonymizes data unless legally required to retain it.
CALIFORNIA PRIVACY REQUIREMENTS
For California users, Rio acts as a Service Provider under CCPA and CPRA. We do not sell or share personal data.
INDONESIA PDP LAW REQUIREMENTS
Rio complies with Indonesian PDP Law No. 27 of 2022 regarding consent, processing, and cross-border transfers.
